Join us in remembering those who lost their lives, were injured or made ill on the job.
Every year on April 28, the United Steelworkers (USW) Tony Mazzocchi Center (TMC) joins other unions, worker centers and allies in remembering those who lost their lives, were injured or made sick on the job.
More than 50 years ago on April 28, the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Act went into effect, promising every worker the right to a safe job – a fundamental right. We reflect on this moment in history and renew our promise to continue the fight for safer, healthier workplaces. We also honor our namesake, Tony Mazzocchi, and strive to build on his legacy.
