Training provided for Department of Energy (DOE) workers includes Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER), 10 CFR 851 Final Rule A and Radiation Worker courses. HAZWOPER courses are also available for other non-DOE workers who handle, store, recover and process hazardous materials.

Hazardous Disaster Preparedness (HDP) training focuses on emergency response and control.

Hazardous Waste Worker (HWW) training covers hazard recognition and control.

The Triangle of Prevention, or TOP, program requires a commitment from the local union and management to work together to find and address the hazards, unsafe conditions, and failed safety systems that cause workplace injury and illness.
