The USW Tony Mazzocchi Center stands with our union's statement on Pride Month.

Please join us this month as we take a moment to reflect on the life and legacy of Tony Mazzocchi, who our organization is named after.

Regulations are in place to protect the safety and health of workers. However, the vast amount of regulations across industries and states often makes it difficult to stay informed and updated.

Twelve Specialized Emergency Response Trainers (SERTs), along with Tony Mazzocchi Center (TMC) and Labor Institute consortium partner staff, met in Pasadena, Calif., in late spring 2023.

Heat kills. In 2021, 36 workers died from heat on the job. In the last decade alone, nearly 400 workers died from heat-related illness.

The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) has honored a request by Honeywell International Inc. to voluntarily rescind the NIOSH respirator approval issued to Honeywell International Inc.

OSHA enacted a respiratory protection standard in 1998, outlining employer responsibilities and worker's rights against respiratory hazards.

In 1998, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) enacted a respiratory protection standard which outlines employer responsibilities and worker’s rights regarding protection against respiratory hazards in the workplace.
